Top 10 Most instagrammable spots in Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris is one of my favourite places on the planet. Nowhere combines the magic of childhood with adrenaline pumping rollercoaster rides quite like Disneyland Paris. Not to mention it’s one of the most instagrammable theme parks in the world. Make sure you take a travel buddy that is patient behind the camera – you’ll want to be snapped on every street, by every shop front and with every character! But with my list of top 10 most instagrammable spots in Disneyland Paris, I’ve got you covered.
Top 10 Most instagrammable spots in Disneyland Paris
1) Disneyland Paris main entrance
You don’t have to go far to reach one of the most instagrammable spots in Disneyland Paris. That’s right friends, it starts right here at Disneyland’s main entrance where you are met with the glorious sight that is – the Disneyland Hotel.
I’ve never stayed here myself due to the fact it’s super expensive (and this girl’s budget tends not to swing as far as ‘rid-on-culous’). Plus, the other hotels are either walking distance or 10 minutes away on a Disney bus for a fraction of the price. We need to get real here though. The best bit of this hotel is its outer grandeur and we can experience this for free. Which is the kind of pricing we like here on Footsteps on The Globe!
2) Sleeping Beauty’s Castle
Rising high in the sky at the end of Main Street, U.S.A is Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. An icon not just of the Disneyland Park, but of Disney itself. It’s the most instagrammable spot in Disneyland Paris, especially when there is a blue sky, the castle really sparkles!
To avoid getting crowds in the photo just hop up on the ledge and take the photo from below. This way you’ll avoid people tearing through in the background too.
Fun fact, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle is different in every Disney park. You may have thought that the Sleeping Beauty’s Castles in the U.S would be better because they were made first. But the castle in Disneyland Paris is actually more elaborate and dream-like. As castles are already a big part of European history, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle has been made to look more fairytale like to reflect this.
The stain glass windows were even especially made for Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in Paris by the same artist who worked on the restoration of Notre Dame!
3) Main Street, USA
Whilst Sleeping Beauty’s Castle is by far the star of Main Street, USA – the street itself is loaded with instagrammable spots too.
Inspired by Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri, Main Street, USA is designed to resemble the centre of an idealised turn-of-the-century American town. Which is why every colourful shop front, prop and character is totally instagrammable!
If you look closely, many of the ‘tenants’ on Main Street, USA were inspired by people who contributed to the concept and development of Disneyland Paris. Walt Disney and his brother Roy are credited as “Founders and Partners”. Whilst Walt’s long-time friend, Imagineering Executive Martin Sklar is listed as a newspaper Editor. Walt even named a boutique after his beloved wife, Lilly. Aw!
4) Toy Story Land
There are so many instagrammable spots in Toy Story Land. The whole place is a must-see, especially if you’re a Toy Story fan! It’s also one of my top things to do in Disneyland Paris.
Based in Walt Disney Studios Park, Toy Story Land is a mini theme park all on it’s own, featuring rides all themed around Andy’s toys from the movies.
There’s an RC ride where you race high up on a track, an army man ride which whizzes you up in a parachute to where you can see the entire park and a gentle (but still fun) Slinky ride. Not to mention all the characters to pose with!
The detail in Toy Story Land is incredible and everything is sized so you feel like you’ve be shrunk to the size of a toy.
5) Walt Disney Studios Park main entrance
The entrance to Walt Disney Studios Park is just as instagrammable as the entrance to the main park. So be sure not to bi-pass it! The studios are themed with a classic Hollywood theme and beautifully capture the spirit of Disney movie magic.
The main gates with the old school Mickey Mouse director silhouette design and the mouse shaped water tower in the background is the kind of special detail that makes the studios’ entrance one of the most instragammable spots in Disneyland Paris.
And it only gets better inside! Which leads me to our next instagram hotspot…
6) Walt Disney Studios Park Front Lot
The Front Lot of Walt Disney Studios Park is such a cool prelude to the main studios themselves and filled with photos ops!
There is the Fantasia fountain featuring Mickey and the enchanted broomsticks, Hollywood themed gift shops and characters dressed in cartoon movie star garb doing meet and greets with fans.
7) Monsters Inc Corner
Located in the Walt Disney Studios Park, Monsters Inc Corner was just made for fun Instagram shots! Aside from Toy Story Land, this cute little photo op corner is one of my favourite instagrammable spots in Disneyland Paris.
Pose with Mike at Boo’s door, the scream monitors or the Monsters Adoption Centre. Whichever corner you pick, adding to your Disney memories has never been so fun!
8) Walt Disney Studios Park Backlot
Similarly, to Main Street, USA, the backlot of Walt Disney Studios Park has its own shopping street with colourful shop fronts and props to play. Including this adorable Mary Poppins-esque umbrella.
The only thing about this instagrammable location is that the shops aren’t real – unlike on Main Street, USA. I feel like Disneyland Paris have missed a trick here by not including real artisan themed boutiques. But then again, it is a studio! So, it is supposed to give you the feel of being on a real set which includes a lot of cute shop fronts to pose by but minus the shopping.
9) Any and all themed restaurants!
The fabulous thing about the restaurants in Disneyland Paris isn’t actually the food but their themes. Every restaurant is uniquely designed and offers a specific menu to compliment its theme.
I would recommend, Annette’s Diner, Captain Jack’s Restaurant des Pirates and Bistrot Chez Rémy as the best themed restaurants.
Bistrot Chez Rémy based in Ratatouille Land in particular is my favourite themed restaurant in Disneyland Paris. The restaurant is set out just as Rémy’s was in the movie Ratatouille. It makes you see everything from a rat’s POV and it’s awesome! Everything seems so lovingly thought out, from the bottle cap chairs to the giant salt shakers being used as flower pots.
Be warned though – I found it quite challenging to find vegetarian/ vegan food at Disneyland. However, if you’re looking for more vegetarian/ vegan friendly restaurant recommendations check out my, ‘How to eat vegan at Disneyland Paris’ post.
10) Hollywood Boulevard
Get ready to live the magic of the Hollywood dream as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard in Walt Disney Studios Park. Inspired by the golden era of Tinseltown in the 1940s, Hollywood Boulevard is set up just like an old Hollywood movie set.
With the Hollywood Tower Hotel rising high above the Boulevard as a foreboding backdrop to the Pueblo Deco style facades and shop fronts – it’s a completely different experience to the main park. And dare I say – with juicer instagrammable shots!
