Where is The Rambler Inn Edale?
The Rambler Inn is a wonderful stone-built pub, located in the centre of Edale in the Peak District.
It’s steeped in Derbyshire history and full of old country pub charm. Think roaring fires in the winter and a sun trap beer garden in the summer, along with real ale and great traditional pub grub!
Why is it so great for Edale hikers?
Edale has over 400 trails to explore, including Kinder Scout, Mam Tor and Castleton, so there’s a lot of hikers needing rest bite!
The pub’s central location in Edale means that it’s in the ideal place for hikers looking to take a break.
However, regardless of location, the Rambler Inn Edale is just a fantastic pub whether it was at the start or end of many amazing hiking trails!
So the fact that it covers both bases with a convenient location and great experience just makes it an even better place to hang out. Especially if you love hiking and visiting the Peak District!
Does The Rambler Inn have vegan options?
Yes! The Rambler Inn is well-known for how vegan friendly it is!
Vegan options include: vegan nachos topped with chilli and melted cheese, vegan pie with chunky chip and peas and a vegan lentil burger with chunky chips.
There are daily vegan specials as well, which also include desserts.
The food is lovely and everything you want in great pub grub which is tasty, filling and hearty.
What time is food served until?
Food is served until 9pm. They have seating available inside as well as outside in their extensive beer garden which is a fantastic sun trap!
Do they serve local craft beer?
The Rambler Inn serves local ale which is very good and definitely hits the spot after a long day hiking!
Is it dog-friendly?
Yes! The Rambler Inn Edale is a very dog-friendly. Dogs are allowed both inside and outside the pub and there are water bowls placed outside for thirsty pups to help themselves.
Can you use the pub parking?
There is parking you can use at The Rambler Inn. If you’d like to use the car park solely to access the hiking routes, there is a £10 deposit.
You will receive this deposit back if you’re planning on returning to the pub for some food and drink after your hike (which I highly recommend!).
If you’d prefer not to drive, Edale Train Station is right next door with trains run every hour a part from Sundays.
Do they overnight for campers?
No, The Rambler Inn doesn’t accept overnight campers but there are plenty of places to camp in the area.
The Fieldhead and Waterside Farm Campsites are less than a 10 minute walk away from the pub.
The pub itself offers nine beautiful en-suite rooms which are great for families, friends, singles and couples alike if you’d prefer not to camp but would like more time to explore the area.
